The Committee discussed the proposed settlement in the Zeleny case and decided to seek a second opinion regarding the settlement.

The Committee discussed with Greg Huth the proposed changes to the Code of Regulations. Both the stand alone proposed final text and the three column version showing current text, changes, and proposed final text will go out to the membership along with other Annual Meeting information by September 18th. The Annual Meeting is scheduled for October 21st.

There will be a town hall meeting to discuss the proposed changes on September 29th. The deadline for placing information about the Code of Regulations in the Old Brooklyn News is August 22nd.

The Committee discussed briefly a recommendation that the proposed Code of Regulations include a provision regarding the nomination of Board members for officer positions. Following the Annual Meeting, Board members would have seven days to submit nominations to the chairperson of the Leadership Committee. The Board would vote on the nominees at the Annual Planning Meeting.

Robyn Sandys briefly discussed a community picnic planned for September 17th at Ben Franklin Garden from 5:30 -7:30 pm. The picnic is open to the entire Ward 15/16 community.

Robyn Sandys discussed a Movie Night Out for Ward 16 residents on September 12th (rain date September 19th). Councilman Kelley will reimburse the expense. She and Lori Peterson will look at possible sites in Ward 16. The anticipated cost of the movie, audio-visual equipment, and popcorn machine is $500-$550.

Robyn will discuss, at the Board meeting, the Annual Report for OBCDC and a brochure about the operations and services of OBCDC.
