Candlelight Christmas Home Tour will be held in the historic Brooklyn Centre neighborhood from 2:00 - 7:00 pm on Sunday, December 5th, 2004. In addition, a post-tour reception will be held at the Archwood United Church of Christ from 6:00- 8:00 pm. Local artisans from Art House, Inc. and Vivid Art Gallery will also be selling stocking stuffers, ornaments and other unique presents.

The event is being organized by the Archwood Denison Concerned Citizens and Brooklyn Centre Historical Society. Tickets will be sold at the Archwood United Church of Christ, 2800 Archwood Avenue, beginning at 1:45 pm the day of the event. Adult tickets are $15, seniors & students are $10.  Discounted pre-sale tickets are available at OBCDC, 3344 Broadview Road for $12 for adults and $8 for seniors & students. Brooklyn Centre Christmas Lighting Contest

Archwood Denison Concerned Citizens in conjunction with the Candlelight Christmas House Tour is sponsoring a holiday lighting contest. Entry deadline is November 30th. Homes will be judged on elements such as; originality, creativity, craftsmanship, design, overall appearance, theme, presentation and curb appeal. Awards with prizes will be given to First, Second, Third & Honorable Mention winners. All homes that enter must be lighted beginning Dec. 2nd through Dec. 4th, evening hours 7 - 9 pm and on Dec. 5th (see above), Noon until 9 pm. Each entrant will receive a Certificate of Participation and two complimentary tickets to the Candle Light Christmas Tour Reception being held from 6 - 8 pm Dec. 5th in the Archwood United Church of Christ, 2800 Archwood Avenue.
