Flags are a way for people to come together and show their community pride. Old Brooklyn is a neighborhood filled with diverse stories and people with all backgrounds; it is also a place we have chosen to call home. This year OBCDC brought together design experts and community members to develop a flag that can represent us all.

Green: Old Brooklyn was once considered the "greenhouse" capital of the United States and still hosts a few of these beautiful grow houses. We are also home to Ohio's largest community garden, the Metroparks' Brookside Reservation and nearly 200 acres of total greenspace.
Blue: Old Brooklyn is bordered by the Cuyahoga River and Big Creek and is part of the broader Cuyahoga watershed.
Diamond Shape: Old Brooklyn is located at the heart of Cuyahoga County, and our proximity to nearly every major asset is unique to our location. The Diamond represents a central symbol with points toward East, West, North and South.
Stars: An important symbol of American pride, some flag designs incorporated two stars to represent the two centuries that Old Brooklyn has existed having celebrated its bicentennial in 2014.
