100% of proceeds from every purchase benefit the Old Brooklyn Community Development Corporation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Unlike signs or banners that use words to share purpose, a flag uses a combination of images and colors that represent a place.  So what does our flag stand for?

Colors: The colors Green and Blue represent the nature that surrounds and borders the community.  Old Brooklyn is bordered to the East and North by the Cuyahoga River and Big Creek and is part of the broader Cuyahoga watershed.  Old Brooklyn was once considered the "greenhouse" capital of the United States and still hosts a few of these beautiful buildings.  We are also home to Ohio's largest community garden, the Metroparks' Brookside Reservation and nearly 200 acres of total greenspace.

Diamond Shape: Old Brooklyn is located at the heart of Cuyahoga County, and our proximity to nearly every major asset is unique to our location. The Diamond represents a central symbol with points toward North, South, East, and West.

Background Stripe: Our local color, blue, fills the background of this gorgeous flag with a vertical break of white indicating forward movement.  This visual cue projects the values of our community as one that looks forward to an engaged and connected future for all who live in Old Brooklyn.
