Old Brooklyn is hosting a neighborhood Education Summit sponsored by Old Brooklyn Community Development Corporation and the Brooklyn Cleveland Kiwanis Club.

The summit will provide and opportunity for residents, educators and partners in our community to review the neighborhood wide plan to improve local public, private, and charter schools. OBCDC has conducted a series of meetings and interviews to determine the needs of and potential services to be offered by our schools to students and families.

The event will include a series of focus groups that each community member can take part in. The topics include safety, health, programming and social services.  Each will be facilitated by a local organizational representative.

OBCDC invites all to come and take part in this initiative and to bring their ideas for ways we can improve education opportunities for our community.

Complimentary breakfast and coffee will be provided by Kim’s Catering for those attending the event.  Additionally, childcare will be provided by Horizon Education Centers.
