OBCDC refers residents to all the programs listed below.CLEVELAND ACTION TO SUPPORT HOUSING (CASH)CASH collaborates with local lenders, making it easier for you to improve your home or property with a low interest rate. They will also assist in qualifying contractors and determining a fair price for home repairs. Visit www.cashcleveland.org. CLEVELAND Repair-A-Home (RAH)Helps Cleveland homeowners by offering low-interest loans from 0% to 3%, which is determined by total household income. These loans are only for code related repairs, mechanical repairs or health and safety repairs. CLEVELAND RESTORATION SOCIETY & NEIGHBORHOOD HERITAGE/HISTORIC PRESERVATION LOANThis program offers low interest rehabilitation loans and free technical assistance to maintain the architectural and historical integrity of your home. HOME ENHANCEMENT LOAN PROGRAM (HELP)Low interest loans (3% below market rate) are available for general property upgrades and repairs. Applications are available at these participating banks: Fifth Third, First Merit, Huntington, Key Bank, National City, and US Bank. NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSING SERVICES of ClevelandLow cost loans for a wide variety of home repair issues as well as providing construction assistance and free estimates PAINT REFUND PROGRAMOBCDC, with the City of Cleveland, provides prep kit vouchers and paint vouchers of up to $400 to cover the cost of paint and materials. Foreclosure PreventionOne should NEVER pay a third party to intervene to prevent foreclosure. The agencies below provide free programs to prevent foreclosure and and related services. 211—First call for helpVisit www.211cleveland.org or call 211 if you need foreclosure/credit counseling assistance throughout Cuyahoga County. Neighborhood Housing Services of Greater ClevelandNHS offers foreclosure prevention and housing counseling services. They also provide mortgage assistance based on household income. Cleveland Housing NetworkCHN provides foreclosure counseling services to residents within the city of Cleveland. ESOPWorks with homeowners and their lenders to obtain affordable resolutions that preserve homeownership. Westside Housing ServicesProvides foreclosure prevention, home repair loans, financial literacy and homeownership education. Senior AssistanceSENIOR HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAMSmall grants are available for elderly, 60+ and disabled homeowners, who reside in and own single or two family homes in need of critical health, safety and emergency repairs. CHORECHORE workers provide a variety of home maintenance repairs, lawn cutting, and minor cleaning. Community Housing SolutionsElderly Home Repair Program. Energy ConservationWATER CONSERVATION PROGRAMFor Cleveland Water customers who meet HEAP income limits. This program institutes water saving measures to help lower usage and bills, as well as minor repairs and emergency services. HOME WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAMThis program is designed to reduce energy consumption by providing insulation and air leakage repairs, furnace inspection and diagnostic testing to homes in the City of Cleveland. Clients must meet HEAP income guidelines. HOUSEWARMINGThe housewarming program is funded through Dominion. Clients must meet HEAP income guidelines. Includes safety inspection, heating unit repair, insulation measures, and a carbon monoxide alarm. CLEVELAND PUBLIC POWERReceive energy conservation services ranging from light bulbs to possible refrigerator replacement. ELECTRICAL PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMThis program offers granted monies to improve the electrical efficiency of your home.
