The Old Brooklyn News goes Digital!

Welcome to the debut of the OB News Online! The Old Brooklyn Community Development staff is excited to share an expanded version of the printed Old Brooklyn News magazine that is delivered across Old Brooklyn. Currently, the Old Brooklyn News goes to more than 17,000 households and businesses in the neighborhood. It’s one of the best ways to connect with every neighbor and share information about what’s happening in OB.

What to Expect

OBCDC will continue to publish quarterly editions of the Old Brooklyn News each March, June, September, and December. The digital edition, OB News Online, will be shared every month and include a feature article and a few mini-highlights of things happening in the neighborhood!

Beyond that, you’ll get:

  • A calendar for upcoming events and programs happening in the neighborhood (you can also share your own to be published!)

  • MVP volunteer opportunities to show your pride in OB and get connected to others in the neighborhood!

  • Community updates from our partners and connections to resources

  • Membership portal for members of OBCDC to receive updates and info about the organization!

The OB News Online will be a way to get more timely, relevant information on neighborhood advances, such as small business highlights, featured events, and resident spotlights. Once a month, you will get to read more in depth about what’s new in Old Brooklyn. Although the weekly email is shifting to a monthly format, we will still post weekly updates on our website in a similar list format like before. This will be linked within each monthly newsletter, and can also be found at www.oldbrooklyn.com/communityupdates.

On the first of every month, the OB News Online will be sent to everyone on the Old Brooklyn CDC email list. If you’d like to sign-up head to this link on our website: https://www.oldbrooklyn.com/obnonline. During the months we publish a printed magazine, we’ll include a digital copy of the magazine for you to read, just like you’d get delivered to your home! Be on the lookout for our next OB News Online email on February 1!

We are still looking for writers!
